Role overview
A busy distribution business in the Theale area of Reading is looking for an experienced Class 2 driver to handle multi-drop deliveries.
Working hours
The shift starts at 06:30 and ends at 15:30, with a 1-hour unpaid break. These hours may change later.
What you'll do
The position involves more than just driving, with daily responsibilities that may include a range of practical tasks. The role calls for a proactive approach and the ability to adapt as needed.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience operating Class 2 goods vehicles
- Current Driver CPC qualification and a valid tachograph driver card
- Background in multi-drop deliveries and the ability to meet delivery schedules
- Strong attention to detail and solid customer service ability
- Comfortable working as part of a team while also being able to work on your own
- Professional and courteous when dealing with customers
Pay and benefits
The salary is between £31,000 and £32,000 per year. The role also includes on-site parking.
Additional criteria
Applicants should have fewer than 3 points on their driving licence. Previous multi-drop delivery experience is preferred.
