Role Overview
Zurich is looking for confident, outgoing, and self-driven customer care professionals to become part of its Claims Call Center team, with an expected start in early August 2026. This opportunity includes a thorough six-week training program delivered fully remotely. The role is open only to candidates who live in the United States, and the preferred time zones are CST, PST, and MST.
What You Will Do
- Handle first notice of loss claims submitted through Zurich’s phone and non-phone reporting channels, making sure each case is recorded promptly and accurately.
- Work through difficult claims questions and service issues, deciding when to escalate or involve other team members so customers and colleagues receive clear support.
- Coordinate with internal teams and outside stakeholders to share information, confirm details, and resolve concerns efficiently.
- Share observations and suggestions with the team to help improve customer care quality.
- Work in accordance with company procedures and risk and compliance standards.
Schedule and Work Setup
- The shift is 8 hours long and falls within the operating window of 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Monday through Friday, Central Standard Time.
- The role is entirely remote, including training.
- Applicants must have a dedicated workspace that is quiet and free from distractions.
- A stable high-speed internet connection is required, with minimum speeds of 5 Mbps upload and 10 Mbps download.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 6 months of customer service experience.
- Experience with data entry.
Preferred Background
- 6 months of call center experience is preferred.
- Strong data entry ability, including typing at 32 WPM or faster.
- Comfort working with Windows-based systems and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to move quickly and accurately between multiple screens and browsers.
- Good reading comprehension and a professional manner.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and solid problem-solving ability.
- Insurance knowledge is an advantage.
Compensation and Benefits
The hourly pay range for this role is $17.79 to $21.64, and the position is eligible for a 5% short-term incentive bonus. Compensation may also vary based on role, location, skills, and experience, and the company notes that merit increases and bonuses may apply. Employees may also have the potential to earn overtime pay.
