Role overview
This position is centered on quality control and compliance for building construction activities. The inspector will review contractors’ work on site, confirm that it matches the contract documents and approved drawings, and keep management updated with daily progress reports. Key responsibilities
- Inspect ongoing site works and confirm that the contractor is following the contract requirements and approved shop drawings.
- Track progress across road-related activities and submit daily updates to line management.
- Examine work methods, verify execution, and maintain records that the work is being carried out according to approved procedures.
- Ensure site instructions are implemented and escalate findings to the Resident Engineer.
- Review service locations and make sure they are properly protected.
- Carry out inspections of road works in progress and ensure compliance with specifications and approved shop drawings.
- Coordinate with the project team while acting independently when required.
Requirements
- A diploma or degree in civil engineering is required.
- At least 8 years of relevant field experience is needed.
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills are essential.
