Civil Engineer (AutoCAD)

Position Overview

We are seeking a proficient and detail-focused Civil Engineer experienced in AutoCAD drafting and civil engineering projects, holding at least two years of relevant professional experience. The role involves creating and revising technical drawings, collaborating closely with project teams, supervising construction activities, and ensuring all deliverables adhere to approved plans, quality benchmarks, and industrial safety norms.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Draft and update civil engineering schematics utilizing AutoCAD software.
• Prepare comprehensive construction, structural, and layout plans.
• Liaise effectively with architects, contractors, consultants, and internal project teams.
• Perform site inspections and oversee construction progress to align with project timelines.
• Ensure compliance with engineering codes, project requirements, and stringent quality standards.
• Generate quantity estimates, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and maintain thorough project documentation.
• Troubleshoot technical challenges related to drawings and onsite execution.
• Keep detailed project records, reports, and necessary documentation updated.
• Adhere to and advocate for safety procedures and safe working practices at all project locations.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Diploma, B.Tech, or B.E. degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in civil engineering project execution.
• Mandatory proficiency in AutoCAD for drafting and designing.
• Solid grasp of construction drawings interpretation, onsite execution processes, estimation techniques, and BOQ development.
• Knowledge in industrial safety standards and familiarity with work permit processes within industrial environments.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and coordination capabilities.
• Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team setting.
