Civil and Structural Engineer - OOH Advertising Infrastructure

Overview

Ajanta Advertisers is a premier agency in Outdoor and Digital Out-of-Home (OOH/DOOH) advertising, managing exclusive media assets such as airports, railway stations, municipal properties, bus shelters, LED displays, unipoles, and hoardings. The company is looking to recruit an experienced Civil and Structural Engineer to oversee the structural design, execution, safety, and maintenance of its advertising infrastructure across Bhubaneswar, Odisha.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and perform analysis on steel structures including hoardings, unipoles, gantries, LED screens, and media setups at airports and railway stations.
• Prepare detailed structural calculations, design documentation, and issue stability certificates.
• Develop RCC foundation designs such as footings, pedestals, and piles tailored to site-specific soil conditions.
• Conduct wind, seismic, and overall structural stability assessments compliant with Indian standards.
• Lead site inspections, feasibility studies, and coordinate with vendors, contractors, and installation teams.
• Review, approve and supervise fabrication and shop drawings prior to installation.
• Oversee erection, commissioning and ensure adherence to safety protocols and design specifications.
• Use engineering software to prepare and review structural drawings, ensuring compliance with IS codes and National Building Code regulations.
• Support the acquisition of statutory approvals, structural certifications, and coordinate with governmental agencies including municipal bodies, airports, and railways.
• Perform routine structural audits of assets, evaluate post-adverse weather impacts, and recommend necessary corrective actions.
• Maintain comprehensive inspection, certification, and maintenance records.

Technical Skills Required

• Proficiency in STAAD Pro for structural analysis.
• AutoCAD skills for drafting and design.
• Experience with ETABS and SAFE software for system modeling and foundation design.
• MS Excel capabilities for data management and reporting.
• Knowledge of Tekla Structures is preferred.

Candidate Profile and Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering is essential; M.Tech in Structural Engineering is preferred.
• 5 to 10 years of relevant experience, especially in steel structure design, foundation engineering, and outdoor infrastructure sectors.
• Familiarity with welded and bolted connection design methods.
• Ability to independently manage multiple projects and field locations.
• Background in industrial steel structures, telecom towers, signage, and advertising media assets considered an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving aptitude and project management skills.

Preferred Experience

• Previous work on hoardings, unipoles, and large digital LED display structures.
• Exposure to industrial steel structure projects.
• Experience coordinating infrastructure projects at airports and railway stations.
• Involvement with sizeable signage and outdoor media installations.

Compensation

Monthly salary range between INR 30,000 to INR 40,000.
