About the Role
Talabat, a part of the Delivery Hero Group operating across approximately 65 countries from its base in Berlin, is on a mission to provide swift and seamless local delivery experiences. As the City Head of Sales, you will be the key driver of the city’s overall strategic growth encompassing sales, account management, and marketing efforts, ensuring performance metrics and key KPIs are met through detailed strategy and execution plans. Your leadership will extend through cross-functional collaboration affecting marketing, logistics, and personnel management.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the city’s operational and financial results to secure profitability and growth.
- Formulate and implement a strategic business plan aimed at meeting monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and revenue targets.
- Identify potential growth segments and set feasible objectives for onboarding new accounts and managing existing restaurant partners.
- Manage city-wide operations down to granular details within zones, ensuring strong partner, customer, and rider engagement.
- Execute on-ground marketing initiatives aligned with the company’s marketing strategy to consistently generate sales prospects.
- Coordinate and supervise logistics activities conforming to established SOPs.
- Keep a competitive market watch and develop strategic responses to boost restaurant growth potential.
- Drive additional sales through the team’s attainment of non-commission revenue via advertising deals.
- Closely monitor team task execution daily and weekly, fostering a culture of high-quality performance via coaching and motivation.
- Assess team member goals individually, providing constructive feedback to facilitate professional development.
- Scale and onboard team members aligned with the growing brand portfolio.
- Produce comprehensive reports supporting target achievement and maintain detailed records of restaurant partnerships.
- Ensure integration of team workflows into internal tools and dashboards used across the enterprise.
- Work collaboratively across marketing, finance, operations, and logistics to accomplish assigned KPIs.
- Implement company policies to maintain operational consistency and company culture throughout the cluster.
- Represent the city and Talabat at external engagements in cooperation with the Public Relations and Communications team.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline.
- Over 8 years of experience in Sales, Account Management, Operations, or similar areas.
- At least 5 years of demonstrated leadership and team management experience.
- In-depth knowledge of the food industry and market trends.
- Experience in crafting commercial proposals and pricing models.
- Proficient in CRM platforms.
- Established history of managing and growing high-performing sales teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving aptitude.
- Exceptional leadership and internal/external stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities.
- Advanced English language skills.
- E-commerce industry experience is a significant advantage.
