Role Summary
This contract position is for a Chinese Financial Analyst working remotely from anywhere. The assignment supports financial operations for a client operating in the technology and artificial intelligence space. The main focus is to review, translate, and validate financial paperwork so that records remain accurate, compliant, and reliable.
Compensation is competitive and will be determined according to experience.
What You Will Do
- Examine financial documents written in Chinese and translate them into English with a high level of accuracy, while following accounting rules and regulatory expectations.
- Check figures, transaction information, and supporting records to confirm that everything is complete and correct.
- Identify inconsistencies, exceptions, or unusual items in financial data and work with the relevant teams to address them.
- Keep reviewed files and any updates properly organized in a secure digital records system.
- Make sure all documentation aligns with internal procedures as well as applicable external financial regulations.
Required Background
- Strong fluency in both Mandarin Chinese and English, including written and spoken communication, along with the ability to translate accurately between the two languages.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in financial document review, accounting, or a similar administrative function.
- Working knowledge of financial terminology in Chinese and English, including items such as balance sheets, invoices, and audit reports.
- Careful attention to detail and the ability to spot data mismatches or errors in complex records.
- Comfort using document management tools, spreadsheets, and basic accounting software.
