Role Overview
The position of Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is a full-time, on-premise leadership role responsible for steering the entire technology strategy at VerifAI. This includes managing software design, product development, cybersecurity, and IT systems that underpin the AI-driven background screening services. The CTO will lead engineering teams, define technical guidelines, oversee product life cycles, ensure scalable and secure infrastructures, and align technological initiatives with overarching business objectives. Collaboration with the executive team to assess emerging tech and foster innovation is also expected.
Responsibilities
- Lead and guide engineering teams in software and product development efforts.
- Establish and uphold technical standards and best practices for development and operations.
- Manage product development processes to deliver scalable, secure solutions.
- Ensure systems meet security, compliance, and high-availability requirements.
- Collaborate closely with executive leadership to align technology goals with business strategies.
- Evaluate new technologies and drive platform innovation.
- Mentor technical personnel and cultivate a high-performing, inclusive team culture.
- Optimize development workflows and implement effective data governance policies.
Required Qualifications
- Strong background in software and product development, with proven experience delivering scalable, customer-facing solutions.
- Expertise in IT strategy and architecture, particularly in designing secure, reliable, and highly available systems.
- Proficient knowledge of cybersecurity principles and oversight of security features.
- Skilled in project management, capable of leading multidisciplinary teams through complex technology projects from inception to completion.
- Experience related to AI, data-intensive platforms, or background screening technology is a significant advantage.
- In-depth understanding of information security, regulatory compliance, and data privacy standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills at multiple organizational levels.
- Demonstrated ability in building, mentoring, and maintaining diverse technical teams promoting an inclusive culture.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or equivalent practical experience.
