Role Overview

The Chief Strategy Officer will be part of the executive leadership group and will shape, sharpen, and execute the company’s overall strategic agenda. The position calls for strong knowledge of digital asset markets, especially derivatives, along with proven ability in scaling businesses, positioning companies competitively, and leading across functions.

This leader will partner closely with the CEO and senior stakeholders to uncover growth opportunities, improve business models, and keep strategic priorities aligned with day-to-day execution.

Responsibilities

Design and steer the company’s long-term strategy across offerings, target markets, and client groups.
Convert broad developments in digital assets into practical business actions.
Lead strategic planning sessions and support executive-level decision making.
Study cryptocurrency derivatives markets, institutional behavior, and competitor activity to identify meaningful trends.
Spot opportunities in structured products, quantitative approaches, and alpha-focused strategies.
Use market and business data to inform capital deployment and priority setting.
Drive expansion plans across North America and overseas markets.
Assess, structure, and implement partnerships, joint ventures, and ecosystem integrations.
Assist institutional client growth efforts with the growth and investor relations teams.
Make sure strategy remains aligned with product development, trading, and risk management.
Work with teams in research, technology, and operations to strengthen execution.
Set KPIs and performance systems linked to strategic goals.
Review M&A opportunities, strategic investments, and potential new business lines.
Support fundraising planning, investor messaging, and long-term capital strategy.

Qualifications

At least 20 years of experience in strategy, investment management, or leadership roles in digital assets, hedge funds, or financial services.
Strong command of cryptocurrency markets, particularly derivatives such as options, futures, and structured products.
Demonstrated success in strategic planning, scaling businesses, and delivering results in high-growth settings.
Strong analytical and financial modeling capability, with the ability to turn complex market information into clear strategy.
Experience serving institutional clients such as family offices, HNWIs, or asset allocators.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Entrepreneurial approach and comfort working in a fast-moving, changing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in quantitative finance, trading strategy, or market microstructure.
Background in a crypto-native company, proprietary trading firm, or hedge fund.
Working knowledge of regulatory settings in the U.S. and international digital asset markets.
Advanced degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
