Chief Product Officer

About the Role

This executive leadership position is focused on driving the next wave of product innovation and expansion in a rapidly growing consumer health and wellness company. Operating fully remotely from Ireland, the Chief Product Officer will take charge of product strategy, research and development, scientific oversight, and commercialization efforts. The role demands visionary leadership to craft a robust future product portfolio and unveil emerging market opportunities while building scalable innovation systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and cultivate high-performing teams across product development, R&D, scientific affairs, regulatory, and quality assurance functions.
• Establish and implement strategic product innovation plans emphasizing new categories, ingredients, technologies, and consumer trends.
• Design and optimize scalable processes that streamline product development and boost organizational efficiency.
• Oversee the creation of scientifically backed, compliant, and uniquely differentiated product formulations.
• Maintain quality standards, operational efficiency, and supply chain robustness throughout the product lifecycle.
• Collaborate closely with commercial, marketing, and operational departments to build and execute successful go-to-market strategies.
• Foster a culture of ownership, excellence, and continuous improvement within all product-related areas.
• Utilize emerging technologies, including AI-driven methods, to accelerate innovation, enhance formulation quality, and shorten time to market.

Requirements

• At least 15 years of progressive leadership experience in product management, R&D, or innovation roles.
• Minimum of 5 years managing large product or research & development teams within supplements, functional foods, consumer packaged goods, or similar industries.
• Demonstrated success in launching and scaling consumer products from concept to market.
• In-depth expertise in formulation science, ingredient sourcing, regulatory compliance, and quality management.
• Proven ability to build and lead cross-functional teams encompassing product, science, quality, and development sectors.
• Strong business acumen, aligning product initiatives with growth, profitability, and brand goals.
• Experience establishing scalable systems and processes to achieve lasting organizational impact.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills adaptable to fast-paced, high-growth environments.
• Entrepreneurial approach balancing innovation speed, operational discipline, and pragmatic business considerations.
