About the Role
This executive position is offered on behalf of our partner company, which handles all aspects of application review and recruitment progression. The Chief Product Officer (CPO) will be based in Germany and will spearhead the advancement of product innovation and growth within a fast-expanding consumer health and wellness company. This senior leader will govern product strategy, R&D, scientific affairs, and product commercialization efforts.
Working fully remotely in an environment built on trust, you will collaborate closely with executive leadership and multidisciplinary teams to transform concepts into market-leading products. Key Responsibilities
- Build and lead exceptional teams across product development, R&D, scientific affairs, regulatory compliance, and quality management.
- Design and drive a forward-looking product innovation strategy by spotting new categories, ingredients, technologies, and market trends.
- Develop and refine scalable systems and processes to speed product development and enhance organizational efficiency.
- Oversee the creation of scientifically validated, compliant, and distinctive product formulations.
- Maintain quality standards, operational efficiency, and supply chain robustness throughout the product lifecycle.
- Collaborate with commercial, marketing, and operations units to devise effective go-to-market plans that maximize business outcomes.
- Cultivate a culture anchored in ownership, excellence, and ongoing improvement across product teams.
- Incorporate emerging technologies and AI solutions to speed innovation, improve formulation quality, and shorten time-to-market.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- More than 15 years of progressive leadership experience in product management, R&D, or innovation roles.
- At least 5 years of senior leadership managing large product or R&D teams within supplements, functional foods, consumer packaged goods, or related sectors.
- Demonstrable success in launching and scaling consumer products from concept through commercialization.
- In-depth knowledge of formulation science, ingredient sourcing, regulatory affairs, and product quality control.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams spanning product, scientific, quality, and development disciplines.
- Strong commercial insight with a knack for aligning product choices with growth goals, profitability, and brand strategy.
- Skilled in building scalable systems and processes producing sustainable organizational impact.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement capabilities in dynamic, fast-growing environments.
- Entrepreneurial approach balancing innovation speed, operational discipline, and pragmatic business considerations.
- Keen interest in utilizing AI and other new technologies to enhance product development and operational efficiency.
