Job description

About BlytzPay

BlytzPay is creating a new kind of payments and collections infrastructure for modern businesses. The company helps organizations get paid through the communication channels customers are most likely to respond to by combining payments, messaging, engagement, and automation in one platform. Its tools support text-to-pay, flexible repayment journeys, and AI-powered collections workflows to help businesses update how they recover revenue and communicate with customers.

The company is focused on reshaping debt repayment, payment engagement, and customer communication rather than operating as a standard payment gateway. Its platform is designed to sit between businesses and repayment operations as a practical layer for revenue recovery.

Role Overview

BlytzPay is seeking a Chief Product Officer who brings deep payments knowledge, a strong execution mindset, and the ability to operate effectively in a founder-led setting. This is a hands-on executive position, not a remote strategy-only role. The selected leader will work closely with the founder and leadership team to set product direction, make sharp prioritization decisions, and ensure delivery across the business.

The CPO will be responsible for product vision, roadmap ownership, prioritization, and leadership of the product function across the BlytzPay platform. The role requires close partnership with Engineering, Operations, Compliance, Customer Success, and Revenue teams.

This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for someone who excels in fast-moving fintech environments and understands that strong product leadership requires a balance of strategy, execution, and organizational alignment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set and guide the company’s product vision, strategy, and roadmap.
  • Own product direction across payments, collections, messaging, customer engagement, and core platform infrastructure.
  • Work directly with the founder and executive leadership on company priorities and product decisions.
  • Partner with Engineering to strengthen delivery quality, accountability, and execution speed.
  • Build, lead, and scale a high-performing product organization.
  • Collaborate with Compliance, Risk, Finance, Sales, and Customer Success to ensure product choices reflect operational needs.
  • Lead innovation in payment processing, repayment journeys, collections engagement, and merchant-facing tools.
  • Improve conversion rates, repayment outcomes, customer engagement, and operational efficiency across the platform.
  • Make sure products comply with PCI, NACHA, sponsor bank, and broader payments regulations.
  • Support strategic alliances, enterprise growth, and go-to-market execution.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have more than 10 years of product leadership experience in debt, repayment, financial technology, payments, acquiring, lending, collections, or regulated SaaS. A strong grasp of payment ecosystems is essential, including processors, gateways, ACH, sponsor banks, card networks, and modern payments infrastructure.

Experience in high-growth startup or scale-up environments is important, along with the ability to combine strong product judgment with operational rigor and a bias toward action. The role calls for someone who has led cross-functional teams and influenced decisions across Engineering, Operations, Compliance, and Revenue.

Success in this role also requires the ability to think long term while still making practical, hands-on decisions. The company is looking for a leader who is comfortable in founder-led environments where speed, accountability, and adaptability are critical. High emotional intelligence, strong collaboration, and a low-ego approach are key. The right person should be focused on solving problems rather than defending territory.

Preferred Background

  • Exposure to messaging-led engagement platforms or text-based payment products.
  • Experience with AI-powered workflows and automation planning.
  • Background in improving payment performance, conversion, and monetization.

Why This Role Stands Out

This opportunity offers the chance to help shape the future of payments and collections in markets that have not been well served by traditional fintech products. You will work closely with the founder and executive team to build solutions that meaningfully improve revenue recovery for businesses and the repayment experience for consumers.

The company moves quickly, values ownership, expects clarity, and places a strong emphasis on execution. Candidates who want to build impactful products with a highly collaborative team will find this role especially compelling.
