Chief Operating Officer - Senior Living

Overview

Ascentria Care Alliance is embarking on a transformative phase, expanding and redefining premium, mission-oriented senior living care across New England. We are looking for an entrepreneurial Chief Operating Officer (COO) who excels at foresight, rapid action, and developing scalable systems while translating strategy into tangible results. This leadership role offers direct collaboration with the CEO to advance organizational growth, acquisitions, operational excellence, and leadership development throughout a multi-state footprint.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee Skilled Nursing, Senior Living, and Post-Acute operations across multiple locations.
• Lead acquisition efforts, evaluate strategic partnerships, and execute integrations.
• Enhance operational standards, quality outcomes, and CMS compliance performance.
• Drive improvements in census, financial health, and workforce stability.
• Develop and mentor high-performing Administrator and Executive Director teams.
• Promote accountability and consistent execution across all communities.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• A proactive builder adept at scaling systems beyond mere maintenance.
• Results-driven leader with strong analytical and people management skills.
• Comfortable navigating complex multi-site environments.
• Experienced in growth strategies, including mergers and acquisitions.
• Capable of elevating team performance and holding high standards.

Preferred Background

• Senior leadership experience in Skilled Nursing, Senior Living, Hospice, or Post-Acute Care sectors.
• Demonstrable success managing operational performance across multiple sites.
• Proven record improving financial outcomes, workforce retention, quality, and regulatory adherence.
• Experience with strategic growth initiatives, M&A, or integration strongly favored.
• Comprehensive knowledge of CMS guidelines, compliance, and healthcare operations.

Compensation

The base salary range is $275,000 to $310,000 annually, plus executive impact incentives.
