Role overview
FX3 Gestão, Liderança e Desenvolvimento is seeking a part-time Chief Operating Officer for its Australia operations, with a strong focus on Melbourne, Victoria. This position blends on-site work in Melbourne with the flexibility of working from home on certain days.
What you will do
The role is centered on managing day-to-day operations, improving efficiency across the business, and ensuring execution stays aligned with the company’s wider strategic direction. You will also support business development efforts, coordinate project delivery, and help expand FX3’s reach, services, and partnerships in Australia.
In addition, the position requires close involvement in budgeting, allocation of people and resources, financial tracking, and maintaining operational standards that meet both company expectations and client requirements. You will work alongside senior leaders, guide project teams, and contribute to decisions that shape the company’s growth in the Australian market.
Qualifications and experience
Applicants should bring strong strategic thinking and business planning ability, along with the capability to turn high-level objectives into practical operational plans. A solid background in operations management is important, especially in areas such as process improvement, coordination of resources, and reviewing performance outcomes.
The ideal candidate will also have advanced analytical ability, a good grasp of finance and budgeting, and experience with cost control, forecasting, and financial reporting. Background in consulting, engineering, or similar sectors is preferred, and exposure to the energy or electric power industry will be considered a strong advantage.
This role also calls for proven leadership of cross-functional teams, comfort working in hybrid and remote settings, and excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. A relevant tertiary qualification in business, engineering, finance, or a related discipline is required, and postgraduate study is an added benefit.
