As the organisation grows, it is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to own the finance function and work closely with the Board and executive leadership during its next stage of expansion. This is a unique chance to help design the financial framework of a mission-led business that creates meaningful impact for people with disability.
Key Responsibilities
- Set and lead the organisation’s financial direction, ensuring it supports both growth and consolidation objectives.
- Take charge of fund structuring, capital allocation, and fund administration across the investment portfolio.
- Manage treasury activities, debt arrangements, and lender partnerships to keep the development pipeline moving.
- Own group tax planning and structuring in collaboration with external specialists.
- Oversee GST implications related to property purchases, projects, and asset sales.
- Strengthen statutory reporting, audit processes, governance practices, and financial controls.
- Provide high-quality Board reporting and serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership.
- Recruit, guide, and develop a strong and effective finance team.
Requirements
- Professional accounting qualification such as CA or CPA, or an equivalent credential.
- At least 10–15 years of senior finance leadership experience, including fund management exposure within property, real assets, or alternative investment settings.
- Proven capability in fund structuring and fund administration.
- Strong understanding of Australian trust structures, property taxation, and GST.
- Experience handling complex group finance environments.
- Ability to contribute as a true strategic partner to both the Board and executive team.
- Background in NDIS, Specialist Disability Accommodation, or social and impact investment is advantageous.
- Experience supporting a business through rapid growth or consolidation would be highly valued.
- Commercially minded with confidence in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.
