Role overview
St. Joseph’s Institution International is looking for a Chemistry Teacher in Singapore to join the school full time and teach on site. The role focuses on delivering Chemistry learning that is clear, engaging, and academically rigorous, while contributing to a supportive school environment.
Key duties
- Plan and conduct lessons that keep students actively involved and support strong understanding of the subject.
- Create a classroom atmosphere that promotes curiosity, independent thought, and analytical reasoning.
- Use a variety of assessment methods to evaluate student progress effectively.
Required background
- A university qualification in the relevant subject area, with at least an honours degree.
- Formal teacher-training credentials such as PGDE or an equivalent qualification.
- Preference will be given to former MOE teachers who have taught the subject at IB Diploma Programme or Junior College level.
- Comfort and willingness to teach in the Secondary Section is advantageous.
