Job overview

We are looking for a Chemistry Expert to support the training of advanced AI systems. In this remote contract role, your subject knowledge will help improve how models understand, reason through, and respond to chemistry-related information. Prior AI experience is not necessary; strong expertise in chemistry is the key requirement.

Key responsibilities

  • Examine and interpret detailed scientific documents, datasets, and research publications connected to chemistry.
  • Create, evaluate, and improve high-quality questions and answers that push AI comprehension further.
  • Use analytical methods to pull out important findings from supplied materials.
  • Work with teams across functions to keep scientific content precise, consistent, and easy to understand.
  • Support documentation efforts and contribute ideas that improve ongoing workflows and processes.
  • Share expert feedback on model responses and overall system behavior.
  • Maintain the accuracy, relevance, and scientific integrity of all chemistry-related inputs and data.

Required qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree or a higher qualification in Chemistry or a closely related subject.
  • At least 2 years of professional exposure in academia, laboratory work, or industry-based roles.
  • Strong capability to read, understand, and evaluate technical documents and research studies.
  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
  • Solid background in data retrieval, quantitative work, and analytical thinking.
  • Ability to work on your own with limited oversight while still delivering strong-quality output.
  • Careful attention to detail and a strong commitment to scientific correctness.

Preferred background

  • An advanced degree such as an MS or PhD in Chemistry or a related field.
  • Experience developing learning content, test materials, or assessment items.
  • Exposure to work involving multiple disciplines, such as physics or biology.

Additional information

This position is structured as a contractor role and is fully remote. The purpose of the role is to contribute domain expertise that helps train next-generation AI systems. No prior background in AI is required.
