Role overview
This full-time, non-management role is based in Doha, Qatar, within the Food & Beverage and Culinary function. The position is focused on cold kitchen preparation and supporting service quality in a premium hotel environment.
What you will do
- Prepare specialty dishes and substitute items when needed.
- Control oven, broiler, grill, and roaster temperatures as required.
- Move frozen ingredients to refrigeration so they thaw safely.
- Portion, plate, and garnish food to the expected standards.
- Keep food production records and logs up to date.
- Track both the quality and the amount of food being produced.
- Alert the team when extra support is needed during peak service times.
- Tell the chef about surplus ingredients that can be used in daily specials.
- Update service staff on menu specials and any unavailable items.
- Prepare dishes in line with recipes, presentation standards, quality requirements, and food prep checklists.
- Handle cold food preparation.
- Help management with recruitment, onboarding, training, scheduling, performance review, counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching, while setting a strong example for the team.

- Follow company policies, safety procedures, and security rules at all times.
- Report equipment faults, incidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to management.
- Complete required safety training and certifications.
- Keep uniform and personal appearance neat and professional.
- Protect confidential and proprietary information.

- Respond to guest needs proactively and professionally.
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with colleagues.

- Be able to stand, sit, or walk for long periods and perform bending, twisting, reaching, pulling, stooping, and carrying tasks.
- Handle, move, lift, push, pull, and place objects up to 25 pounds without assistance.
- Carry out additional reasonable duties assigned by supervisors.
