Job description
Overview
We are looking for a dedicated Chartered Accountant with 2–5 years of post-qualification experience to join our Chennai office. This role offers flexible working options including full-time and part-time schedules. The successful candidate will play a vital role in managing tax compliance, financial reporting, statutory audits, and providing financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee direct and indirect tax compliance, including GST filing, TDS return submission, and preparation of Income Tax Returns.
- Compile, review, and finalize monthly financial reports such as balance sheets, profit and loss accounts, and cash flow statements.
- Manage annual statutory audits ensuring adherence to ICAI accounting standards and regulations set by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.
- Supervise junior accounting personnel to guarantee accurate ledger reconciliations and data entry.
- Offer expert advice on tax planning strategies, cost reduction, and maintaining the financial health of the organization.
Qualifications and Skills
- Certified Chartered Accountant with an active ICAI membership.
- 2 to 5 years' experience in corporate finance, taxation, or financial consulting fields.
- Proficient in accounting software such as Tally Prime, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or SAP, coupled with strong Excel abilities.
- In-depth understanding of Indian taxation laws, GST reconciliation, corporate finance principles, and auditing standards.
- Strong analytical abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and capability to work independently.
