Role Summary
The organization is looking for a skilled and well-organized Catering Manager to lead catering operations, supply coordination, and government procurement activities. The right candidate must have practical experience with NUPCO and the ETIMAD platform and be able to manage procurement compliance, tender preparation, and contract delivery in line with public-sector requirements.
This position calls for strong leadership, operational control, and the ability to oversee large-scale catering services for both public and private sector customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct daily catering activities, including meal planning, food quality checks, and service execution.
- Manage procurement, supply chain, and transportation needs for ingredients and catering equipment.
- Prepare, file, and track bids, tenders, and contract-related submissions through ETIMAD.
- Oversee NUPCO-related procurement work, such as item registration, pricing, delivery planning, and supporting compliance documents.
- Make sure all catering work follows applicable health, safety, and hygiene requirements.
- Lead catering teams, allocate tasks, and maintain high service standards.
- Liaise with suppliers, public agencies, and clients to keep operations running smoothly.
- Track inventory, maintain stock control, and apply cost-management measures.
- Compile operational updates, financial summaries, and performance reviews.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with government bodies, hospitals, and institutional customers.
- Ensure meals, supplies, and services are delivered on time as required by contract terms.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Demonstrated background as a Catering Manager or in a comparable position.
- Hands-on experience using both NUPCO and ETIMAD platforms is essential.
- Solid understanding of government procurement procedures and tendering workflows.
- Strong leadership, communication, and people-management abilities.
- Capability to handle large catering operations and juggle several assignments at once.
- Good knowledge of food safety practices, with SFDA and HACCP knowledge preferred.
- Competence in inventory oversight and cost control.
- Ability to stay effective under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related discipline is preferred.
Preferred Background
- Experience supplying food items such as rice, tea, milk, and butter to government clients.
- Exposure to hospital catering, institutional catering, or high-volume food service operations.
- Working knowledge of logistics, warehousing, and supply chain functions.
Work Location
Saudi Arabia, with the role based onsite in Jeddah, Makkah.
