About the role

As the Category Review Delivery Manager, you will lead the full category review programme and ensure it is delivered on time and to the right standard. You will help drive outcomes that benefit both customers and the business, and this newly created position gives you the opportunity to influence how category performance is approached across the organisation.

You will work across the Merchandise function to build a clear understanding of what creates value for customers and what needs to change. Reporting to the Head of Strategy and Operations, you will partner with senior leaders in Buying, Pricing, Analytics, Commercial, and Retail. With multiple priorities and different viewpoints in play, you will need to use sound judgement to challenge assumptions, reset priorities where needed, and keep delivery focused on the most important work.

The role is based in Christchurch, and support may be available for the right candidate who needs to relocate.

Key focus areas

• Lead category reviews from start to finish and ensure key milestones are achieved.
• Translate commercial insights into practical actions that improve performance.
• Coordinate across multiple teams and senior stakeholders to keep delivery moving.
• Balance competing priorities and make decisions that keep the programme aligned to business needs.
• Help shape how the role develops and build depth in commercial thinking, delivery, and stakeholder influence.

About you

You understand the drivers of category performance and know how to bring people along with you. You combine strong judgement with a structured way of working, and you are comfortable building relationships across the business to resolve differences and get results.
