Role Summary

This is a full-time, on-site position in Accra focused on leading the restaurant category. The person in this role will be accountable for the category’s growth by shaping strategy, managing restaurant partner relationships, and improving assortment, pricing, and promotional execution.

Key Focus Areas

The role requires close attention to sales performance, category data, and market signals in order to identify opportunities for expansion and improvement. It also involves working with procurement and sales teams to bring on new restaurant partners, while maintaining and developing existing vendor relationships.

In addition, the Category Manager will handle negotiations for contracts and commercial terms, monitor competitor activity, and ensure that the restaurant selection continues to meet customer expectations and brand standards. The role also includes collaboration with operations, marketing, and product teams to strengthen category outcomes, enhance the customer journey, and support major initiatives and campaigns.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in category management, with direct responsibility for strategy, assortment planning, and category performance.
  • Strong analytical ability to review data, monitor KPIs, forecast demand, and guide decisions with evidence.
  • Hands-on experience in procurement and vendor management, including finding, onboarding, and managing restaurant partners.
  • Clear capability in negotiating contracts and commercial arrangements with external stakeholders.
  • Background in sales or commercial functions, especially where revenue growth and partnership development were key outcomes.
  • Experience in food delivery, quick commerce, FMCG, or hospitality is considered an advantage.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across operations, marketing, and product teams in a fast-moving environment.
  • Strong communication, relationship management, and stakeholder handling skills.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Marketing, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Comfort using digital tools, spreadsheets, and analytics platforms; familiarity with dashboards and reporting systems is helpful.
