Role overview

Grandir UK’s Kiddi Caru Day Nursery in Hanham, Bristol is seeking a warm, energetic Early Years Assistant to join the team. The role sits within a child-centred nursery environment where you will help care for children, support their development, and encourage curiosity so they can flourish each day.

Pay

Hourly pay is between £10.85 and £12.71, depending on experience and qualifications, and this is subject to regular salary reviews.

Key duties

  • Act as a positive day-to-day example and help uphold Grandir UK’s values.
  • Promote fair access and equal opportunity for staff, families, and children.
  • Keep children safe, supported, and supervised throughout the day.
  • Help create an appealing and inviting nursery setting.
  • Prepare and oversee activities under the direction of Level 3 qualified practitioners.
  • Follow company policies, procedures, and operating practices accurately.
  • Implement any policy or process updates within the required timeframe.
  • Make sure the nursery’s practice and provision meet Early Years Foundation Stage requirements.
  • Raise any concerns about policies, procedures, or working practices with your line manager.
  • Maintain a consistently professional and positive approach with children, parents, visitors, and colleagues.
  • Protect confidentiality where appropriate.
  • Attend staff meetings, planning sessions, and training when required.
