About the Role

Join Walmart Canada as a Cashier and gain valuable experience in the retail sector. This role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service during checkout to foster customer loyalty. As a Cashier, you will also play a critical role in loss prevention by monitoring transactions closely and protecting store assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome customers warmly and courteously.
• Efficiently handle purchase transactions, including deactivating merchandise according to the Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) program.
• Promote Walmart’s sponsor programs such as credit card services, product protection plans, and charitable initiatives.
• Help customers with packing and loading their purchases.
• Adhere to safe work practices, including proper lifting techniques and keeping the workstation tidy.
• Maintain the integrity and security of the cash register through careful cash handling, following company policies, and being vigilant about surroundings.
• Refer customers to the Customer Service Manager where necessary for additional support or services.

Compensation

The position offers a starting hourly wage of $18.00.

Required Qualifications

• Applicants must be at least 16 years old.
