Role Overview
Joining Walmart Canada as a Cashier offers an excellent opportunity to enhance your retail skills while delivering outstanding customer service during checkout, fostering customer loyalty. This role also involves vigilance to safeguard company assets and minimize losses.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome customers courteously and professionally.
- Efficiently handle all purchase transactions, including deactivating merchandise according to the Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) program.
- Promote company-sponsored offerings like credit card services, product protection plans, and charity initiatives.
- Support customers with bagging and loading their purchases.
- Adhere to safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques and maintaining a clean workspace.
- Maintain register security and cash handling integrity by following company policies and remaining alert to surroundings.
- Direct relevant service or transactional matters to the Customer Service Manager when necessary.
Compensation
The starting hourly wage for this position is $18.40.
