Position Overview

Serving as a Cashier at Walmart Canada offers an excellent opportunity to build expertise in the retail sector. This role focuses on delivering outstanding customer service throughout the checkout process to enhance customer retention. Cashiers are also responsible for safeguarding company assets by maintaining a vigilant approach.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome every customer courteously and warmly.
• Efficiently process all sales transactions, including merchandise deactivation consistent with the Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) Program.
• Actively endorse sponsored company programs such as credit card services, product protection plans, and charitable contributions.
• Provide assistance with bagging and loading of goods for customers.
• Maintain safety standards by following proper lifting techniques and keeping the work area tidy.
• Uphold register security and accuracy by careful cash management, strict compliance with company policies, and staying alert to the surroundings.
• Refer pertinent service requests and transactional matters to a Customer Service Manager when necessary.

Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement is 16 years or above.
