Role Overview

The Cashier plays a key role in creating an enjoyable, safe, and distinct shopping experience. As often the initial or final point of contact for customers, a Cashier manages checkout and customer service desk duties, which include processing transactions, answering customer questions both in person and by phone, maintaining store tidiness at the front, and balancing the cash drawer at shift end.
