Job description
Role summary
This position acts as the key liaison for Treasury and plays a central role in banking support, cash forecasting, account administration, reconciliations, and billing-related cash application activities. The role also supports cash management controls, reporting, and process improvements while helping ensure accuracy across treasury and accounting operations.
Primary responsibilities
- Serve as the main contact point for Treasury on banking matters and relationship management.
- Provide banking administration support, including setting up new accounts, maintaining existing accounts, and managing user access.
- Assist with cash forecasting and provide inputs to the Treasury team for short- and longer-term cash flow planning.
- Support execution of cash management activities and keep banking records and actions current.
- Help interpret Treasury reports and maintain Treasury systems.
- Ensure bank reconciliation practices, procedures, and controls align with company policy and accepted accounting standards.
- Maintain complete and accurate files and supporting documentation in line with internal policy.
- Handle incoming customer receipts and investigate unidentified, unapplied, and misapplied payments.
- Process credit and debit memos and support customer payment-related inquiries from service and collections teams.
- Transfer daily lockbox deposits to customer accounts and support chargeback processing.
- Receive, import, and interface bank files into cash management systems.
- Prepare daily and periodic bank reconciliations and record related adjusting entries.
- Generate cash flow, currency hedge, and other treasury-related reports.
- Contribute data for Finance analysis, operating reviews, and modelling.
- Identify gaps, process improvements, discrepancies, and potential fraudulent transactions, then help resolve them.
- Support billing operations by coordinating with customers and the Order Management team to ensure timely billing and query resolution.
- File final bills in the document management system and track disbursements for billing purposes.
- Handle recharges, file closures, VAT rate updates, and the creation of credit notes and partial credit notes.
- Ensure all billing documents are received by Accounts by month-end.
Required qualifications and experience
- A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or an equivalent qualification is required.
- At least 2 years of experience in a comparable role is expected.
- Background in Treasury, cash management, and multi-currency environments is important.
- Solid understanding of billing processes is needed.
- Experience with cash applications, preferably in a BPM or services setting, is an advantage.
- Working knowledge of ERP platforms and Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and Word, is required.
- Familiarity with banking systems used in the relevant geography is necessary.
