Carpenter

About the Role

We are looking for a proficient and attentive Carpenter to become part of our team at Pullman Dubai Jumeirah Lakes Towers. This permanent full-time role involves constructing, installing, and maintaining wooden structures and fixtures within the facility. You will be an essential member of the engineering and maintenance division, ensuring quality and precision in all carpentry works.

Key Duties

• Build, fit, and mend wooden frameworks, furniture, and fixtures.
• Analyze blueprints, drawings, and detailed instructions to understand project needs.
• Choose the right materials and tools tailored to each carpentry task.
• Accurately measure, cut, and shape various materials including wood and plastic.
• Fit doors, windows, trims, and associated hardware components.
• Carry out routine preventive maintenance on wooden installations and equipment.
• Adhere to workplace safety standards, ensuring a secure environment.
• Work cooperatively with colleagues and other departments to successfully complete projects.
• Keep precise records of completed assignments and materials utilized.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent qualification; having a certified carpenter credential is advantageous.
• At least three to five years of carpentry experience, with solid knowledge of construction practices and safety protocols.
• Competence in interpreting blueprints and operating various carpentry tools and equipment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills coupled with keen attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills with a focus on client satisfaction.
• Physical capability to handle heavy materials and maintain various working postures.
• Availability and willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Additional Information

Having proficiency in an additional language is considered a benefit.
