Role summary
As a Caregiver at Summerset on the Landing in Kenepuru, you will be part of a team responsible for maintaining a safe, healthy, and enjoyable environment for residents. The role is hands-on and centres on supporting personal care and helping residents with everyday routines.
Key duties
- Serve meals and assist residents during mealtimes.
- Support personal hygiene tasks, including showering.
- Help carry out individual care plan activities such as walks and exercises.
- Assist with recreational activities like puzzles and table tennis.
Working pattern
This is a full-time position with a rotating roster of 4 days on followed by 2 days off. Shifts rotate across morning, afternoon, and night cover.
What you’ll need
The ideal candidate is empathetic, patient, and kind, with a genuine desire to improve the lives of others. You should be comfortable working in a care setting and able to build positive relationships through clear communication.
Experience and skills
Previous experience in aged care or a similar caregiving role is preferred. You should also be able to work across a rotational roster that includes AM, PM, and night shifts, and maintain a 4-on, 2-off schedule.
