Role Overview
This position is for a Caregiver on the Client Services team, reporting to the CS Care Lead. It is classified as non-exempt and is paid hourly. The role is field-based in California and supports people in their homes or community settings.
Compensation and Schedule
The pay rate is $20 to $25 per hour, with the exact amount depending on experience and the assignment. Work hours may vary and can include days, evenings, and weekends as scheduled. Overtime eligibility applies.
What You’ll Do
The caregiver’s main responsibility is to provide direct support that helps clients with everyday living needs while maintaining safety, dignity, and alignment with each person’s care plan and the organization’s standards.
- Deliver personal care and other support services according to the client’s care plan.
- Help clients complete assigned activities of daily living.
- Maintain a safe, respectful setting for clients at all times.
- Arrive on time for scheduled visits and complete all assigned visits as planned.
- Notify the team quickly if there are schedule changes or emergencies.
- Record services accurately using approved documentation tools and systems.
- Escalate incidents, client concerns, or changes in condition right away.
- Follow documentation, reporting, policy, and procedural standards consistently.
- Keep professional boundaries, protect confidentiality, and communicate respectfully with clients, families, and coworkers.
- Carry out all company policies and procedures as required.
Required Background
- At least 1 year of experience in caregiving or a similar role.
- Ability to follow care plans and written or verbal instructions.
- Reliable transportation for travel within the service area.
- Must be able to pass a background check and other required screenings.
Preferred Background
- Experience in home care or healthcare settings.
- Caregiving certifications that are relevant to the role.
- Familiarity with mobile documentation systems.
Work Conditions
This is a field-based job performed in client homes and community environments. The work may involve long periods of standing, walking, bending, and lifting. The role may also require helping clients with mobility. Reasonable accommodations will be provided as required by law.
