Job description
About CareerCOACH™ Services
CareerCOACH™ Services is a national and international career development and coach training organization that has been operating since 2006 and has supported more than 13,650 people. Its work spans one-on-one coaching, corporate coaching, offboarding support, and transition coaching. The organization also provides services such as passion and purpose discovery, assessments connected to real job applications, resume development, LinkedIn profile creation, cover letter drafting, and its proprietary Influence Networking process, which is designed to help people use their network to land their next role in weeks rather than months.
The team culture is built around collaboration and mutual support, with coaches expected to share ideas, methods, and lessons learned. Ongoing learning is a core expectation, and the firm continually updates its skills and certifications so clients receive guidance that reflects current best practices in career coaching.
Role Overview
This is a remote 1099 contractor position for a licensed and certified CareerCOACH who will provide coaching services as part of an agency-style model. The assignment is expected to be work-from-home and fully remote, with onboarding beginning in July 2026. Applications are accepted through June 2026.
Contractors should have 20 to 40 hours per week available for client work, outreach, education, training, and onboarding conversations. The role includes delivering CareerCOACH’s system to clients, participating in certification training, and building client opportunities through enterprise-level marketing support.
Who This Role Suits
The position is geared toward people who are client-centered, empathetic, value-driven, and action-oriented. It is a good fit for those who enjoy helping others move ahead in their careers, have experience coaching or mentoring in formal or informal settings, or have often helped others with resumes and job search guidance.
Applicants should be comfortable working independently from home, while also contributing to a global coaching team. Availability during weekday business hours from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm in the applicant’s time zone is expected.
Responsibilities
- Respond to inbound leads and follow up with prospects generated through marketing efforts.
- Conduct Zoom alignment calls with prospects and clients to clarify employment goals, needs, and expectations before services begin.
- Provide coaching engagements that may last from 3 days to 5-9 weeks, depending on the service being delivered.
- Take part in scheduled weekly team meetings and individual coach meetings.
- Use the CareerCOACH System™ in client work and continue developing expertise through training and industry learning.
- Manage your own home office setup and computer equipment as required for contract work.
- Help generate and develop clients using the company’s enterprise-level marketing support.
Training and Certification
As part of the contract engagement, coaches receive more than 150 hours of training over a 2-month period, with sessions held twice weekly and additional live semi-weekly instruction through Google Classroom. The training is designed to integrate the coach’s existing experience into the CareerCOACH System™ and includes certification in CareerCOACH practices plus 2 assessment certifications.
Qualifications
- Preferred background of 1-3 years in coaching or mentoring people in a public or private setting.
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
- Preferred master’s or Ph.D. degree in business, marketing, or human resources.
- A degree in communications, human resources, instructional design, or counseling is a plus.
- ICF, iPEC, or another comparable coaching certification is helpful, though not mandatory.
- Assessment certifications are also beneficial but not required to apply.
Compensation
Contractors can earn at a coaching rate of at least $120 to $300 per hour on a 1099 basis while supporting job seekers in securing their next role.
