About the Role

Abacare Limited in Blackwood is looking for a Care Assistant to join its local care team. This full-time role is based onsite and offers flexible working patterns, including full-time, part-time, evenings, and weekends. The pay rate is £13.45 to £13.55, with mileage paid for eligible journeys. A £150 welcome bonus is available, along with paid MOT test support, guaranteed hours, and a DBS paid for by the company.

What You Will Do

  • Help people remain independent while living in their own homes.
  • Deliver personal care in a respectful and dignified way.
  • Provide reassurance, conversation, and companionship.
  • Support with medication, moving and handling, and mealtimes.
  • Work as a dependable member of a close local team.

What We Are Looking For

This role is open to applicants with no prior care experience as well as those with a background in care. The most important qualities are a kind attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn. Full training and induction are provided.

A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are required, as local travel is part of the job. The company is unable to offer sponsorship at this time.
