You’ll contribute to a warm, homely setting and help maintain consistently high standards of care for residents.

The position calls for day-to-day kindness, empathy, and a caring attitude, alongside a focus on each individual’s physical and social wellbeing. You will work closely with the wider staff team to create a safe, supportive environment that reflects individual needs and promotes quality of life.

What you will be doing

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a comfortable and homely atmosphere.
  • Show compassion, warmth, and respect in every interaction.
  • Deliver care in line with an individualised approach that considers both physical health and social wellbeing.

Who this role suits

This role may suit people starting out in care, returning to work, changing career direction, or seeking flexible work that fits around life outside of work. Previous care experience can be useful, but the key qualities are strong communication, teamwork, kindness, and a genuine desire to improve people’s lives.

Benefits

  • Competitive pay, with an extra £1 per hour for weekend work and double pay on bank holidays.
  • Holiday allowance equal to 30 days per year including bank holidays, rising to 33 days after five years of service, pro-rata.
  • Option to buy and sell holiday.
  • Access to a fully funded Medicash Health Plan, which can help save up to £995 on everyday health costs such as dental and optical care, plus telephone and video GP appointments.
  • Cycle to Work Scheme.
  • Access to the Blue Light Card Scheme.
  • Company sick pay.
  • Care First Employee Assistance Programme offering a range of free and confidential support services.
  • £200 referral bonus for recommending a friend.
