Role Overview
Clutch is hiring a Car Detailer to keep every vehicle moving through its onboarding flow clean, polished, and aligned with the company’s quality expectations. This role calls for someone who handles vehicles with care, works well with others, is eager to learn, and has a strong eye for detail.
In this position, you will care for both the interior and exterior of incoming vehicles so they are ready for reconditioning or sales. Your work will help ensure each car is presented in showroom-ready condition while supporting a steady and efficient team workflow.
Key Duties
- Clean vehicle exteriors using pressure washing and shampooing techniques.
- Deep-clean interiors through steaming, extraction, and vacuuming.
- Reduce the appearance of swirl marks and scratches by polishing surfaces.
- Apply tire dressing and keep outside finishes looking their best.
- Track detailing products and equipment needs and keep supplies stocked.
- Contribute ideas to improve detailing methods and day-to-day processes.
- Help maintain a tidy, well-organized workspace for the team.
What the Role Requires
- Genuine interest in the automotive field.
- Willingness to build skills and grow as an automotive detailer.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage several tasks at once.
- A collaborative mindset and a strong team-first approach.
- Valid G2 or G driver’s licence with a clean driving abstract.
- Post-secondary education is considered an advantage.
- Availability for a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, with overtime when business demands it.
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience in automotive detailing.
- Comfort operating a manual transmission vehicle.
Benefits
- Competitive pay.
- Medical and dental coverage.
- Freedom to take ownership of your work and help shape high vehicle-quality standards.
- Room to develop skills in automotive operations within a company that is growing quickly.
- Comprehensive benefits package available from day one for permanent full-time employees, including healthcare, dental, vision, prescriptions, life insurance, and dependent coverage.
- Pay is determined using objective factors such as skills, performance, market rates, responsibilities, and working conditions.
