Role Overview

The Capture Manager role is integral to KBR's Growth team, focusing on securing new business opportunities within the Australian Defence sector. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Growth, you will lead the capture and proposal stages of project pursuits, spearheading strategy development and managing multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute win strategies, including competitive intelligence, teaming plans, and customer analysis to optimize chances of success.
  • Lead diverse cross-functional groups comprising subject matter experts, solution architects, engineers, commercial, finance, and business development personnel.
  • Collaborate with the Proposal Management team to produce persuasive, compliant proposals and oversee bid processes.
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, risk management, and integrity of the capture workflow.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in capture or bid management within the Australian Defence industry.
  • Preferred experience handling complex capture efforts in space or prime systems integration sectors.
  • Strong leadership and team coordination abilities.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven capability in crafting and implementing capture strategies.
  • In-depth knowledge of Australian Defence and Government acquisition procedures, including scope, cost, and scheduling aspects.
  • Competence in managing complicated projects and budgets.
  • Experience with proposal composition and development is essential.
  • Must be an Australian citizen with current or prior NV1 level Australian Government security clearance.
  • Proven track record of building opportunity pipelines and securing wins.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.

Additional Information

This permanent full-time role is based onsite in one of several Australian cities, including Adelaide. Candidates must be eligible for an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency security clearance and comply with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
