Role Overview
KBR is hiring four Canteen Coordinators for a client site in Qatar. The position focuses on running dining hall and tea pantry service activities efficiently, keeping food service standards high, maintaining a clean and hygienic environment, and supporting a positive guest experience.
What You Will Do
- Oversee the timely and orderly serving of meals to all diners.
- Check service quality and make sure HACCP-compliant procedures are consistently followed.
- Address customer concerns in a professional manner and work toward quick resolution.
- Help create a courteous, welcoming, and service-focused atmosphere.
- Arrange and verify the setup of the dining hall, including tables, counters, and service points.
- Keep the dining area neat, organized, and visually presentable at all times.
- Manage crowd movement during busy meal periods so service remains smooth.
- Ensure sufficient seating is available and tables turn over efficiently.
- Work closely with kitchen teams so food is replenished without delay.
- Record food temperatures using a self-contained digital tablet.
- Apply hygiene and food safety practices, including HACCP and personal cleanliness standards.
- Maintain cleanliness across service areas, utensils, and equipment.
- Carry out routine inspections and escalate any non-compliance issues.
- Confirm that service supplies such as trays and dispensers are always available.
- Keep daily service logs and attendance records updated.
- Report shortages, operational concerns, and incidents to management.
- Support the upkeep and maintenance of pantry equipment.
Experience and Qualifications
- A diploma or certification in Hospitality or Catering is required.
- Minimum three years of experience in industrial catering, camps, or institutional dining is needed.
- Candidates must hold HACCP certification.
- Basic computer knowledge is required for reporting tasks.
- A certificate in basic first aid and CPR is required.
