Job description
Role Overview
Vellore Institute of Technology is hiring a Camera Man to support studio and production activities on-site in Vellore, Tamil Nadu.
Education Qualification
A Degree or Diploma in Cinematography from a reputed institute, recognized by the State Government, Central Government, or a university, is required.
Experience
The role calls for at least 3 years of hands-on experience as a cameraman with a reputed TV channel, production house, or equipment rental company. Familiarity with microphone handling and sound recording is an added advantage.
Key Duties
- Prepare and position the camera as per the producer’s instructions.
- Arrange and adjust lighting based on directions from the producer.
- Verify camera configurations and make sure the equipment is ready for recording.
- Support studio personnel so recording runs efficiently.
- Keep cables and studio equipment in proper working condition.
- Identify issues in the camera, lighting, or other studio gear, and coordinate follow-up with the producer or engineer.
