This position supports engineering and operational goals by managing laboratory systems, testing, and calibration work, while also strengthening continuous improvement and maintaining alignment with IANZ requirements.

What You Will Do

  • Track audit observations and corrective actions through to completion, while supporting ongoing improvement efforts.
  • Carry out refurbishment, calibration, and testing of metering equipment, ensuring outputs remain accurate, traceable, and suitable for audit review.
  • Keep laboratory equipment aligned with IANZ expectations and refine testing processes and procedures where needed.
  • Investigate faults in metering assets, record findings, and work with Engineering to evaluate emerging metering technologies.
  • Take part in proficiency testing programmes to demonstrate laboratory capability and consistency.
  • Support coverage and capability for Key Technical Personnel (KTP).

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in a calibration laboratory or comparable technical setting, with direct experience in calibration testing of electrical equipment and applying quality standards.
  • Clear and confident verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical matters in plain language.
  • Practical knowledge of, or training in, measurement uncertainty.
  • Strong understanding of EIPC (Meter Test Houses), electrical safety standards, and testing practices.
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships across internal and external stakeholders and contribute to a collaborative team culture.
  • Knowledge of ISO 17025 requirements for calibration laboratories, with prior application of these standards or experience as an IANZ Authorised Representative seen as an advantage.
