Role Overview
Shegerian & Associates, a Los Angeles-based plaintiff-side employment and civil rights litigation firm, is hiring a Calendar Clerk to support its busy legal team. The position plays a key part in keeping court deadlines, hearing dates, and filing-related tasks organized and on track in a high-volume, fast-moving environment.
What You Will Handle
In this role, you will work with a team of three seasoned clerks in the calendaring department. Your day-to-day work will center on monitoring court filings and incoming correspondence, identifying and entering deadlines, preparing attorney reminders, and arranging court appearances. Accuracy, consistency, and calm execution under pressure are essential to success.
- Track legal deadlines in line with court procedures and internal calendaring rules
- Sort, rename, store, and organize incoming legal mail and filings
- Schedule court appearances and keep internal tracking systems current
- Create weekly deadline reminders and status reports for attorneys
- Coordinate with attorneys and staff to verify or clarify calendaring details
- Keep thorough records and logs of calendared items and events
- Partner with the calendar team to make sure all important dates are captured and met
Qualifications
The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and comfortable managing a steady flow of deadlines with little direct oversight. Experience in legal calendaring or docketing across state or federal courts is preferred. Familiarity with court rules and calendaring platforms such as One Legal, CourtCall, or similar tools will be helpful. Strong communication, accountability, and time management skills are important, along with the ability to remain focused and precise.

Compensation and Benefits
This is an hourly position paying between $24 and $25 per hour, depending on experience. The role is based in person in Los Angeles.
- Employer-paid dental and vision coverage at 100%
