About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Café Manager to lead the daily operations of a high-quality artisan café and bakery located in Doha, Qatar. This role offers an excellent platform for hospitality professionals who excel in dynamic settings and are dedicated to providing superior guest experiences while ensuring efficient operational management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily activities of the café and bakery ensuring smooth operation.
- Deliver exemplary customer service and foster an exceptional guest experience.
- Lead, inspire, train, and develop the front-of-house team effectively.
- Maintain the highest standards of food quality, presentation, sanitation, and hygiene.
- Oversee staff scheduling, control labor costs, and optimize operational efficiency.
- Analyze sales figures and devise strategies to boost revenue and profitability.
- Manage inventory levels, ordering processes, and maintain strong supplier relations.
- Control food and beverage expenses while minimizing waste.
- Collaborate closely with the Head Baker and kitchen staff to ensure seamless daily operations.
- Address guest feedback professionally and resolve any issues promptly.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and local food health regulations.
- Support new menu launches, promotional activities, and marketing efforts to expand the business.
Candidate Profile
- Possess 4 to 6 years of experience in roles such as Café Manager, Restaurant Manager, or Store Manager.
- Prior work experience at artisan cafés, specialty coffee shops, premium bakeries, or upscale casual dining settings is essential.
- Solid knowledge of specialty coffee, artisan bakery products, and café operations.
- Strong leadership capabilities with excellent team management and coaching skills.
- Demonstrated ability in managing budgets, profit and loss, inventory, and cost control.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Capable of performing under pressure in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
- Fluency in English is required; Arabic language skills are beneficial.
- Experience working in GCC countries is advantageous but not mandatory.
