Role Overview
Broadcom's Central Engineering team seeks a skilled professional to enhance and support CAD tool workflows aimed at advanced semiconductor process nodes.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage hands-on daily with design and layout challenges while creating and maintaining utilities to optimize productivity.
- Develop or update Calibre DRC/LVS rule decks tailored for advanced FINFET technology nodes.
- Build and manage CAD PDK environments, including tool installation and layout customization leveraging scripting languages such as Skill.
- Offer EDA tool assistance and workflow integration for circuit simulation, EMIR, and aging analyses using industry-standard tools like Spectre and HSPICE.
- Apply block-level place and route expertise utilizing commercial EDA platforms to extract power, performance, and area (PPA) metrics.
Candidate Profile
- Holds a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with over four years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrates strong programming abilities.
- Possesses user-level proficiency with CAD software tools.
- Experienced in all CAD support life cycle stages including evaluation, quality assurance, testing, release management, user assistance, and documentation.
- Exhibits excellent interpersonal communication, presentation, multitasking, meticulousness, and teamwork capabilities.
