Role Overview

Ventia is expanding its Western Power contract and seeks experienced Lead Cable Jointers to join its team in delivering critical electrical network projects throughout Western Australia. This role involves working on both metropolitan and regional projects to enhance and upgrade Western Australia's electrical distribution infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete a variety of network and customer-related electrical tasks including LV cable and pillar terminations, HV switchgear connections, installation of pad-mounted transformers, and streetlight and pit terminations.
• Contribute to enhancement, resilience, and upgrade projects across metropolitan and regional Western Australia.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and with high-quality standards.
• Conduct all fieldwork activities while adhering to strict safety, quality, and compliance policies.

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly pay ranging from $66.80 to $73.54 plus a $4.00 per hour regional site allowance.
• Generous Living Away From Home Allowance (LAFHA) up to $355 daily when working away from home.

Qualifications & Experience

• Must hold Certificate III in ESI – Power Systems – Distribution Cable Jointing (UET30819 or equivalent).
• Possess a current C Class driver's license.
• Demonstrated experience in performing distribution cable jointing tasks.

Preferred Credentials

• Issuing Officer accreditation, Recipient in Charge and electronic Network Access Record (eNAR) writing experience.
• Paper Lead and LIVE LV qualifications.
• Paper Lead HV/XLPE qualifications.
• Authorization for HV and LV switching on Western Power’s network.
• SACs accreditation.
• Licenses for Elevated Work Platform (EWP), High-Risk Work Licenses (HRWL) for DG, LF, CV, or above.

Additional Information

• Relocation expenses may be covered for suitable candidates.
