Role Description

As a Butler, you will be responsible for welcoming guests, familiarizing them with their rooms and amenities, and coordinating all aspects of room service and guest needs. You will assist housekeeping to ensure rooms meet the highest standards, maintain guest personal belongings, and support guests with luggage handling and valet services. Additionally, you will manage the Butler's pantry and suite bars, offer insights and assistance regarding local information and reservations, and support various departments including restaurant, reception, luggage services, and back-of-house operations.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet guests upon arrival and provide a comprehensive orientation of their room and facilities.
• Coordinate room service delivery and removal of items in a timely manner.
• Support housekeeping in servicing rooms to a premium standard; verify cleanliness and order.
• Keep guests’ personal belongings, clothing, and wardrobes organized and immaculate throughout their stay.
• Manage guests’ valet requirements, including light garment pressing when needed.
• Assist guests with packing and unpacking luggage as requested.
• Maintain the Butler’s pantry and suite bars in a clean and organized state.
• Provide guests with local information and facilitate bookings or reservations as required.
• Contribute assistance to restaurant, reception, luggage services, and back-of-house cleaning and maintenance activities as necessary.

Qualifications

• At least five years’ experience as a butler or similar role in luxury hospitality.
• Proven leadership experience supervising a team of service professionals.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with guests and colleagues.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop staff members.
• Proficiency with household management software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Exceptional attention to detail coupled with effective problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent multitasking and time management skills.
• Comprehensive understanding of etiquette, protocol, and luxury service standards.
• Knowledge of Middle Eastern customs and etiquette is highly valuable.
• Minimum educational requirement: High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related discipline preferred.
• Professional butler certification is an advantage.
• Fluency in English required; Arabic language skills are strongly preferred.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
• Uphold confidentiality and exercise discretion in all situations.
