Job description
Role Overview
This contract opportunity is for an experienced management and strategy consultant who can apply high-level advisory thinking to complex business situations. The work focuses on creating, testing, and improving decision-making scenarios that help advance the development of intelligent automation systems.
The position is fully remote and is structured as a part-time engagement with an hourly rate of $100 and an expected commitment of more than 10 hours each week.
What You’ll Do
- Craft and review multi-stakeholder business cases across areas such as market entry, competitive strategy, and operations so automated reasoning systems can be benchmarked and improved.
- Create robust opportunity assessments, go-to-market plans, and strategic frameworks using established consulting methods.
- Turn large, complex sets of documents into clear executive memos, presentations, and quantitative analyses.
- Develop and challenge scenario models, including planning simulations and sensitivity tests, to expose edge cases for evaluation.
- Set meaningful KPIs and alignment structures that reflect real advisory work and decision-making needs.
- Work in an iterative research process by improving scenario quality based on feedback and changing evaluation standards.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience at a leading management consulting firm such as MBB or a Big 4/5 organization, with exposure to strategy, operations, or corporate transformation work.
- Strong capability to break down ambiguous problems into practical, structured approaches with limited supervision.
- Advanced skill in Excel modeling and PowerPoint, with the ability to produce client-ready outputs.
- Excellent business writing skills, including the ability to prepare concise memos and senior-level narratives.
- Comfort working in a research-heavy environment where priorities and scope can shift over time.
Additional Strengths
- Prior advisory experience in technology, SaaS, or platform-based business models.
- Experience building evaluation rubrics, decision trees, or other structured analytical frameworks.
Application Process
Applicants are asked to complete the application form in full. Submissions will be reviewed against the role criteria, and shortlisted candidates will be contacted by email with next-step instructions. Those candidates will then need to follow the emailed guidance to finish the remaining application requirements.
Compensation & Engagement
This role pays $100 per hour and is expected to require at least 10 hours of work per week. It is a contract assignment and can be performed remotely from Canada.
