Role Overview
Odoo is expanding its Channel Sales team and seeks a Business Development Representative (BDR) for the North American region based in Brisbane, CA. This position is a hybrid role requiring four days onsite and one day remote work. The BDR will play a critical part in growing Odoo's partner network by identifying and engaging potential partners capable of integrating, reselling, or developing solutions on Odoo's platform. This role demands strategic communication skills, a collaborative spirit, and a drive to build lasting business relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research to discover potential partners aligned with Odoo's platform capabilities.
- Initiate outreach to prospects via calls, emails, and social networks to establish connections.
- Perform discovery discussions to assess prospects' business models and suitability as partners.
- Manage and advance a pipeline of qualified leads, scheduling meetings with decision-makers.
- Utilize CRM systems to document all partner interactions thoroughly.
- Support the Partner Recruitment team during partnership negotiations and finalization.
- Acquire comprehensive knowledge of ERP, CRM, HCM, and POS sectors relevant to Odoo.
- Understand and communicate Odoo’s value proposition and market advantages effectively.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Excellent communication abilities paired with an engaging and confident demeanor.
- Strong interest and awareness of emerging software and technological trends.
- Curiosity about business operations and dynamics.
Preferred Experience
- At least one year of professional or internship experience in sales, marketing, recruiting, lead generation, or similar quota-driven roles.
- Familiarity with software areas such as accounting, manufacturing, inventory, CRM, POS, or e-commerce.
- Experience in SaaS or PaaS sales, either pre-sales or post-sales.
- A balance of professional seriousness and a spirited, collaborative workplace attitude.
- A strong intrinsic motivation to understand business owners and their enterprises.
Compensation and Benefits
- Comprehensive health benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and spending accounts.
- 401(k) plan with company matching and commuter benefits.
- Paid time off including vacation, sick leave, and holidays.
- Employee Assistance Program offering mental health telehealth sessions.
- Allowance for home office setup up to $100.
- Work environment with passionate colleagues, chef-prepared lunches, and freely available snacks and beverages.
- Company-sponsored social events for groups of six or more employees.
Salary Range
The estimated on-target earnings (OTE) range from $60,000 to $65,000 annually, with a base salary from $52,000 to $57,000. Salary offers may vary depending on individual qualifications and location.
Diversity and Inclusion

The company embraces equal opportunity employment and provides a supportive environment. Following the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, applicants with arrest and conviction records who are qualified will be considered for employment.
