About the Role
This role sits within the A11 ecosystem and supports a partner technology company that is reimagining how specialist fastening components are sourced for German mid-sized businesses. The company operates with an AI-native platform that combines strong industry know-how with modern software to make procurement workflows more efficient, less error-prone, and easier to scale.
As a Business Development Representative, you will be one of the first external touchpoints for the business. Your work goes beyond simple outbound activity: you will identify the right decision-makers in technical procurement, engage them, and help build a healthy sales pipeline. You will work closely with the Commercial Lead and Growth Marketing in a setup designed for short feedback loops, fast learning, and quick iteration.
This position is based in Bielefeld, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.
Responsibilities
- Build, test, and refine outreach sequences across email and calling using data and clear hypotheses.
- Run cold and warm calls, structure discovery conversations, and handle objections in a professional way.
- Find and qualify buyers and decision-makers in technical purchasing based on ICP criteria such as need, timing, volume, and specifications.
- Pass qualified opportunities to specialists with clean handovers and maintain accurate pipeline records in HubSpot.
- Use intent signals, incoming requests, and supplier data to prioritize outreach.
- Feed insights from calls and email performance back to the team and actively contribute to go-to-market discussions.
Requirements
- Initial experience in B2B outbound work, such as SDR/BDR, inside sales, or telesales.
- A mindset that works in sequences, hooks, and testable hypotheses rather than isolated calls.
- Comfortable making calls and confident working the phone.
- Strong communication skills, curiosity, and a good sense for people.
- A structured, data-driven working style with careful documentation.
- Hands-on attitude and a strong willingness to learn.
- Native-level German or German at nearly native level.
- Nice to have: experience with HubSpot or modern sales tools such as Clay, Apollo, or Ocean.
- Nice to have: exposure to technical procurement, an industrial environment, or B2B commerce.
