Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Business Development Manager to lead sustainable expansion efforts for our Building division in the South West region. This role is pivotal in pinpointing and acquiring fresh business prospects, nurturing strategic client partnerships, and bolstering our regional growth trajectory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, cultivate, and secure new business across public and private sectors aligned with regional growth targets.
  • Establish and sustain strong relationships with clients, consultants, framework partners, and stakeholders, serving as a trusted representative for the company.
  • Manage an active sales pipeline collaboratively with pre-construction and operational teams to facilitate smooth handover from opportunity to project execution.
  • Analyze market trends, competitions, and industry shifts to uncover new opportunities and guide business strategy.
  • Represent the company at industry events, forums, and client meetings to enhance company visibility and reputation within the construction sector.

Candidate Profile

  • Proven track record in business development within construction or related sectors, demonstrating success in winning new contracts.
  • In-depth understanding of the UK construction market, procurement methods, and major frameworks.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills capable of influencing stakeholders at various levels.
  • Strong commercial insight, organizational capabilities, and experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
  • Proactive and collaborative mindset with an aptitude for building trustworthy relationships and teamwork across departments.
