About the Opportunity

Based in Sydney, known for its vibrant and diverse food scene, First Table is seeking a motivated and passionate Business Development Manager to expand its market footprint. This role involves actively connecting with restaurant owners and hospitality leaders to showcase the benefits of First Table and bring new venues onto the platform.

The platform connects food enthusiasts to restaurants by promoting early bird and last table offers, simplifying the reservation process, and encouraging culinary exploration.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Develop and expand your assigned territory by identifying and securing new restaurant partners.
  • Maintain a robust sales pipeline through proactive outreach, networking, and strategic territory management.
  • Foster strong, mutually beneficial relationships with restaurant owners to ensure successful onboarding and ongoing value realization.
  • Continuously monitor market trends and competitor activities to uncover new opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a smooth experience for partnered restaurants.

Candidate Profile

  • Proven track record in business development, field sales, or partnership roles with demonstrated success in acquiring new clients and fostering lasting business relationships.
  • Ability to quickly establish rapport, influence stakeholders, and convert prospects into committed partners.
  • Experience or familiarity with the hospitality sector is highly advantageous, particularly existing contacts within the industry.
  • Self-driven with a strong commercial mindset and the initiative to identify and pursue opportunities independently.
  • Valid Australian driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle are essential due to the need for regular travel within Sydney.
  • Positive, proactive attitude with a hunger to grow alongside the company.
