Job description

About BIT

BIT, previously known as Matrixport, operates as an international financial infrastructure and digital asset services group. Established in 2019 and based in Singapore, the company connects conventional finance with digital assets through governance-led products and technology.

Its platform oversees more than US$7 billion in assets and supports over US$7 billion in monthly trading activity. BIT provides custody, trading, asset and wealth management, financing and liquidity solutions, as well as tokenised real-world asset (RWA) offerings for institutional and professional clients worldwide.

The group maintains licensed and regulated operations across Singapore, Hong Kong, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Bhutan.

Why Join BIT

BIT emphasizes collaboration, openness, transparency, respect, and inclusion. Team members are encouraged to contribute ideas and are given a voice. The company values people who are intellectually curious, entrepreneurial, and motivated to create meaningful impact in the crypto ecosystem and help shape a better product for the next billion users.

Role Overview

BIT is hiring a Business Development Manager to help expand its custody business across Southeast Asia. This is a mid-level client-facing position suited to a commercially minded professional with an established regional network and direct experience in institutional sales.

The role spans the full business development journey, from identifying prospects and securing deals to onboarding clients and managing relationships after activation.

Key Responsibilities

The role involves driving growth for custody solutions in Southeast Asia, building and maintaining relationships with institutional clients, and supporting end-to-end deal execution. It also requires close coordination with internal teams and active participation in external industry engagement.

Requirements

Applicants should bring 5–6 years of experience in business development, sales, or other client-facing functions within financial services, fintech, crypto, or digital assets. Experience with custody, institutional crypto offerings, or capital markets is strongly preferred, along with an established network across Southeast Asia.

Strong deal-closing ability, long-term relationship management, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder handling are essential. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-moving, regulated environment and collaborating across functions. Fluency in English is required, and Mandarin or another regional language is considered a strong plus.

Preferred Profile

Additional value will be given to candidates who have worked with institutional clients, understand custody and related infrastructure such as wallets and settlement, or have experience in crypto exchanges, custodians, fintech platforms, or Web3 environments.
